Carbon dioxide is one of the key fuels for plant growth. In high-tech tanks it’s often injected to boost speed and colour, but in low-tech setups plants rely on naturally available CO₂ from fish, bacteria, and surface exchange. Slower growth, fewer swings, and a more stable system by design.
